Apply the amount necessary to create a thick enough topcoat in surroundings that promote oxidation.

Use a sufficient quantity of Rust Converter Industrial Strength if you desire a cosmetic look. You may choose to sand with fine to medium grit sandpaper after drying for 24 hours at your discretion, but are in no way obligated to do so.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:

SURFACE PREPARATION:

1. 1.       Important: Remove all oil, grease, salt, or water-soluble chemicals with high-strength cleaner. Rinse thoroughly with water.
2. 2.       Remove blistered and loose paint, loose rust scale, and heavy rust buildup. Do not remove all rust. Best results are achieved when all rusted areas are exposed and a thin layer of rust is left on the surface.

APPLYING CONVERTER:

1. 3.       Mix Rust Converter Industrial Strength thoroughly before using.
2. 4.       Pour the estimated amount needed for the job into a clean container.
3. 5.       Use of rubber gloves is recommended because Rust Converter Industrial Strength is difficult to remove from the skin.
4. 6.       For maximum penetration, work Rust Converter Industrial Strength into the rusted surface with a synthetic bristle brush. On large areas use a roller or spray (airless spray is preferred). Important: Treat only enough space area so that the 2^nd coat can be applied in 20-30 minutes.
5. 7.       Apply a 2^nd coating within 20-30 minutes in a cross direction to the previous coat. Allow to dry for 24 hours. Rust Converter Industrial Strength dries to a black matte finish.

CLEANUP:

1. 8.       Clean up equipment immediately after use with cold water and dish soap.
